Would you like to take a magical trip back in time and rediscover the wonder and beauty of childhood innocence?

London’s sexiest boutique hotel, 40 WiNKS, is launching a programme of Strange and Wonderful events this June, starting with a series of amazing Bedtime Story Nights!!

In an atmosphere of dreamy decadence, guests will be plied with drinks and nibbles before being transported to a place far far away with “Stories To Make You Dream” (3rd and 17th June) and “Tales of Love and Longing” (22nd and 29th July). A dresscode of pyjamas, nighties and dressing gowns will be rigorously enforced, and we are suggesting guests bring along a small cushion, a teddy bear and anything else that makes them feel warm and cosy. Nanny and Matron may be brought too (but you will have to pay for them as well…). Complimentary hankies will be provided should guests be moved to tears.

40 WiNKS is developing these fabulous nights in collaboration with Spoken Ink, the online audio website which is breathing fresh life into the short stories of world class authors with readings by actors such as Helena Bonham-Carter and Julie Christie. Their downloadable short stories will be available from July.

Each event will include two short stories read by professional actors with musical accompaniment, and will feature authors such as Angela Carter and Ian McEwen.

The events will start at 7.00pm and finish at 10.30. Tickets are just £20, including drinks and delicious nibbles.
