ALACARTER STYLE

Last night at Phillips de Pury by Kelli

We had a great time last night at the Phillips de Pury party! I met the fabulous Marc Newson (previous posts on Marc) – pictures of me and marc coming soon 🙂 I also really enjoyed all the fabulous historic pieces up for auction on April 30th.  Here are some of my favorites:

And the star of the show – also the most expensive – Marc Newson’s Lockheed Lounge

Is the Lockheed Lounge made from parts of a Lockheed airplane?

I will have to give my friend Marc a call and ask him. If you look at his website (www.marc-newson.com) you can look at his airplace and space craft designs. I think you would find his stuff interesting Kevin 🙂 Any news from France?

Marc talks about the Lockheed Lounge (how it was inspired, created and named) both here in video with Wired UK

and in the latest issue of Interview magazine

And if you are still interested to keep up with news and upcoming events, feel free to join the Marc Newson group on Facebook.

Not so sure about that “memories” cabinet. I would have trouble adjusting to the crooked drawers! LOL

Anyway, it was great meeting you Kelli at the show. Let’s keep in touch! Linda P
