I love hats!!! I have been collecting them for years, but it is often a rather solitary passion as there are so few opportunities to wear them in public. With the Stephen Jones show on at the V&A and wedding season about to start, perhaps I can persuade more of you to start exporing the infinite pleasures wearing a good hat offers. We are considering holding a few hat parties here at 40 WiNKS in the near future. I am attaching a couple of pictures of the glorious Isabella Blow, who certainly knew a thing or two about the subject, and also a stunning portrait by Irving Penn, which you can find at the upcoming sale at Phillips de Pury.
